Unlike traditional universities, Deakin takes a more innovative, hands-on approach to learning. This means that a Deakin graduate is not just ready to take on the world when they leave, they’re ready to conquer it. Deakin gives them a distinct advantage over their competition, arming and equipping them with all the tools, practical skills and confidence they’ll ever need to kick the world’s arse. Leave Deakin and you will be ready for the world. The question is, will the world be ready for you? I was tasked with building a brand identity and campaign that reflected Deakin’s unconventional positioning within the education sector.

Category-disrupting visual language

This visual identity for the campaign revolves around a system that celebrates reinvention. Deakin students break the mould and transcend boundaries - they shape their own future. We take this sentiment and yield a category-disrupting visual language that reflects the innovative thinking and entrepreneurial spirit at Deakin. Executed through a dynamic moving identity, juxtaposing type, colour and imagery in compelling fashion while empowering our students through attitude-driven photography and tone of voice.
